About me

Originally from the UK, I have had over 25 years experience of cross-cultural living and a career background working in journalism, aid and development and school leadership.
I spend most of the year living in Cairo, Egypt where I counsel people from many different ages, countries and backgrounds.

I am very aware of the increasingly complex web of stresses in people’s lives in this technological age of continuing globalisation with its political and environmental insecurity. Despite these factors, human beings remain constant with their innate needs and powerful personal resources, and I love being able to help people access those so they can live a life that works well.

I work as practically and pragmatically as possible to see clients overcome any number of difficulties such as anxiety and depression, trauma, grief, phobias, addictions, self harm and relational difficulties.

I trained in Human Givens therapy having seen its effectiveness in quickly and comprehensively restoring mental wellbeing to people, enabling them to thrive.

I practice privately from my home in Cairo and also at Nine Psychology Clinic in Maadi, Cairo.

I have been DBS checked in the UK.

Testimonials

Felicity helped me through a very difficult time after my son committed suicide. She rewound my PTSD which allowed me to function normally again without feeling constantly triggered. Her compassion and expertise enabled me to heal and eventually to thrive.

Teacher: PTSD and grief

More than 10 years ago I was attacked by a group of men overseas. Despite several sessions with other counselors this experience still made me feel anxious in many situations and affected the way I connected with other people, so I contacted Felicity. She has the gift to make people feel very welcome and comfortable even when they are really nervous. She helped me to de-traumatise the experience. After that I was able to think about what happened without feeling threatened or panicked, which was a huge change. She helped me imagine our family’s future life overseas and gave me tools to make me feel confident. I am now looking forward to it.

NGO aid worker: PTSD and anxiety

Felicity has helped our young daughter overcome fears, phobias, anxieties and struggles. Our daughter has grown tremendously in capacity and coping skills and we see huge differences in her.

School child: Anxiety, phobias, relational difficulties

Before our sessions I was living in so much guilt and was feeling lost and hopeless. Now I feel so free and joyful. I no longer have nightmares, I no longer feel guilty and I feel completely healed.

Student: Depression

I had the opportunity to work with Felicity at a critical moment in my life. Her compassionate care and profound skill helped me navigate the grief of losing a child and an international move. The application of HG methodology has led to a breakthrough that has carried forward until today and I still rely on the techniques that Felicity taught me.

Diplomat: Grief, transition and Relationship breakdown
