About me
Friendly, approachable and easy to engage with is how clients describe me.
Sometimes people don’t know how to describe what they are experiencing or specifically what they want to change but they feel stuck. Whether that’s because of depression, anxiety, stress, relationship worries, trauma, panic attacks or other feelings, thoughts or behaviours that occur, we will simply start with where you are at.
I am a chartered psychologist too, working now with organisations to help them become better places for employees to thrive. As part of that role I blend psychotherapy and coaching to support people looking to achieve change in work. At the opposite end of the spectrum, I continue to support children and young people following an early career in teaching.
Sessions are about being practical and moving forward to achieve positive change. The format is flexible depending on preference; sometimes we sit and talk but other clients prefer to walk and talk (with their dog!).
If someone isn’t sure that I’m the right fit, or that psychotherapy is for them, I encourage people to reach out for an initial chat. Sessions are booked individually so people aren’t tied in – although they always come back! You may only need 3-4 sessions depending on what is going on for you. It’s one step at a time.
